There is an article about how to go about getting a book. It discusses how there is paperwork required to process orders and that it sometimes costs more than the purchase price of a book to to process an order for a single book. Apparently at the time, most publishers wouldn't take orders for fewer than 10 books or something along those lines. I found this very interesting because things have obviously improved since then. If I want a book I just head over to amazon.com and within a minute I've made my order. In 1970 those poor people had to go to a local bookstore then make an order then wait months as the order made its way through all the various parts of the supply chain.
